RENAULT - A French Automotive Icon

Overview

Renault is an iconic brand that has been part of French culture for more than 100 years. As the first, and currently the largest French automobile brand, it is firmly established as the European leader in the multipurpose vehicle category. From its beginnings in 1898 to the present day, Renault has consistently developed pioneering products and services.

 

Challenge

During the early 2000s, Renault had different logo versions introduced by several advertising campaigns that co-existed with the actual corporate identity used by dealers around the world.
The challenge was to unite all the visual aspects of the brand with a system that could be applied to a wide range of executions, such as stationery, collateral, communications, signage and the vehicles.

 

Solution

To revitalize Renault’s image, a 360-degree branding platform was introduced through a complete redesign of its logotype and a new 3D rendering of its emblem. The identity was  reworked to give it a stronger, more modern appearance, The showrooms and dealerships were redesigned, which are key in strengthening the brand’s relationship with customers. The new look and feel embodied new promise of technology and change. An interactive microsite for their Global Brand Guidelines was developed.
